About The Name
The name Elevayta is derived from the phrase 'Elevator Music'. This phrase often refers to the bland background music that can be heard in, of all places, elevators! The unique spelling is phonetically derived and pronounced in the normal way.

About The Developer
Paul R. Harvey studied and performed music from an early age. An accomplished and experienced musician by the age of 17 and with an eye set on a professional music career, a fortunate stroke of destiny led to a degree, and then Ph.D., in Physics!

During a Christmas vacation and a chance encounter while transferring an old recording of the Moonlighters Big Band from tape to CD, Paul needed a tool for improving the stereo sound stage. After dredging the Internet for an appropriate VST plug-in, completely unsatisfied with the result, Paul decided to create his own.

After a few days getting to grips with the VST SDK from Steinberg, and enjoying the play on words, Paul released the first version of his 'Wide Boy' plug-in - to great critical acclaim!

The rest, as they say, is history...

Elevayta has been making VST plug-ins available to the public since December 2003.
